Hello.

This is a poem about what happens to animals, in the agricultural industries.

What happens in this poem happens in every country, even Ireland.

It is called ''The silent Screams in the Supermaket Aisle''

Well, here it is:

The silent screams in the supermarket aisle

Unfortunately, sadly

I am born into a life of pain, agony and misery

And all of this caused by who?

Caused by non other than humans, who call themselves nice and say they have empathy

If I am a chick, and I am male,

I am sliced or drowned alive, minutes after being born, still all fragile and frail

If I am a newborn calf, and i am malle,

I am to be sot shortly after birth,

And turned into someones dinner, most likely veal

While my mother is crying, wailing for me in a filthy pit, filled with feces and dirt

If I am a chick, and I am female,

Sadly, I was born to a system that is a major fail.

I am overfed and overweight

To the point i can not walk, and my bones break

We are the animals, who were born sadly, unfortunately,

Doomed to have a lifetime of pain, sadness and misery

Being   cut, beaten, burned and tortured routinely,

Only for your tastebuds, so you can eat us, or burn us around a fire, singing happily

We are the animals who just simply cannot,

Escape the horrible, cruel conditions we live in.

If we try to escape ending up in a shop,  and then in a pot,

We are chased, hunted and then brutally shot.
